Partner carriers include Tier-1 operators in Singapore, Japan, Germany, the US, and Brazil. Network fallback is automatic when a primary carrier is congested.
All eSIM profiles are issued through a GSMA-certified Subscription Manager Data Preparation (SM-DP+) server. Profile delivery uses mutual TLS and encrypted RSP (Remote SIM Provisioning) protocols as defined in GSMA SGP.22 v2.2.
Each profile is device-locked at the hardware level and cannot be transferred or cloned. Lost or reset devices can request a profile reissue through in-app support.
The Truely app shows data consumption in real time, updated every 5 minutes via the carrier's billing interface. You see current session usage, total consumed since plan start, and estimated days remaining based on your usage rate.
Push notifications can be enabled for 80% and 100% usage thresholds. For unlimited plans, notifications mark 30 and 60 days elapsed.
Running low or extending your trip? Add days to an active plan from the app without reinstalling the eSIM. Top-up purchases link directly to the existing profile and are reflected in the carrier's billing system within 3 minutes.
Multi-country extensions let you append new regions to an ongoing trip. The platform handles carrier handoff automatically when you cross borders.
Travel agencies, booking platforms, and corporate travel managers can integrate Truely eSIM issuance via REST API. The endpoint accepts booking reference numbers and passenger details, then returns a QR code payload for inclusion in confirmation emails or mobile boarding passes.
The API supports batch issuance (up to 500 eSIMs per call), webhook callbacks for activation events, and sandbox mode for integration testing.
Truely eSIMs work with iPhone XS and newer (iOS 12.1+), Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3a and newer, and all iPad models with eSIM support. Windows laptops with eSIM slots are also supported via the manual APN method.
